Drop Everything And Read

For ten minutes after lunch break, a time of peace and quiet, when students and teachers  READ. It calms down the jumpy students and helps bring their minds back to class. A time to reflect and find connections between the classroom and the big wide world, a time to read to your best bud, a time to read your favourite book over and over again, a time to just D.E.A.R.

Our school was buzzing with the once again with students talking joyfully talking to eachother after a long break, cackling laughter of reunited friends, footsteps of little ones seeking their destination classrooms. I had been a long break and it was wonderful to have the happiness of children back in our lives. A new beginning with Grade 5! Meeting my angels in class truly was a memorable experience.
