Forms of media - role play

Forms of media - Assessment

Using different forms of media

What a fantastic assessment! Excited students, fabulous ideas, Perfect execution and an enamoured teacher. A perfect formula for successful PYP classroom. Students picked various forms of expressions to present the different forms of media - Posters, finger puppet show, creating websites, stick puppets, power point presentations, role plays, booklets, news paper article, you name it and it was there. All the students showed a great amount of learning of the forms of media.

Forms of media - Assessment

Collecting, Sorting, Plotting and Interpreting! That's a lot of hard work... Phew!

The students conducted surveys to find out the most popular form of media, how it make our lives easier, Use of media in our lives, popular show timings, effects of media and how it has changed our lives. They were divided into groups using clock buddies and each group picked any one aspect of media and began sorting the data collected. They cooperated and worked very well in their groups.

The best part of this learning engagement was when they began to choose the most appropriate form of graphical representation to plot their data. They worked like experts and calculated every detail with precision, with barely any help or assistance from me. The outcome was immaculate graphs presented on the board with every minute detail and the personal touch of every student in my class. :)
