Happiness Saturdays feature students with mile long smiles and teachers on their toes through out the day to ensure those smiles stay :)
The 6th happiness saturday was the Maths mela. We had different in interesting venues around junior school. The centers were based on the 5 maths starnds of the PYP - Numbers, Data handling, Measurement, shape and space and patterns.
All the centers were buzzing with students engrossed in various activities. They loved the hands on approach and enjoyed dribbling the basket ball, treasure hunt, measuring height and volume, creating patterns with edible items and many more.....
The day ended with a presentation on using the Abacus and how vedic maths can help them increase their speed at calculations.
