I am born and brought up in Hyderabad and have visited the Salarjung Museum plenty of times during my childhood. No matter how many I go there, I am always in awe of the treasures and wealth of the Nizams, the opulence of the Salarjung Museum and the man himself - Salarjung III (Nawab Mir Yusuf Ali Khan) who acquired most of the collection and enriched the visitors with treasures of art and literature.
Salarjung Museum houses the largest one-man collection of antiques in the world. The vast collection is of magnificent sculptures, paintings, textiles, carpets, clocks and furniture from around the world. Students of Grade 5 were amazed to see the objects on display at the Museum. One of a kind experience, the students had never such abundance of wealth and treasures.
